Microtector II G460- Multigas
Description
The smallest all-rounder
The multi-gas detector Microtector II G460 has been specifically developed for meeting the requirements of daily work. It is the lightest and smallest gas detector in its class, easy to use and designed according to ergonomic principles.
The innovative multi-gas detector G460 passes the performance test and is certified according to EN 60079-29-1 (explosive gases), EN 50104 (oxygen) and EN 45544 (toxic gases).
Measurable gases
The standard version of G460 detects O2, H2S, CO, CO2 and combustible gases in particular. Additional sensors are available for NH3, HCl, PH3, HCN, NO, NO2, SO2 and a variety of other gases. Thus, you can arrange your GfG gas detector to fit your exact requirements.
Innovative triple IR technology
One single GfG infrared sensor is enough to simultaneously measure CO2, the lower explosion limit (LEL) and up to 100% vol. of combustible gases. This innovative technology is exclusively available at GfG. The wear-free and extremely durable GfG infrared sensors considerably reduce your future expenditure for maintenance and replacement of sensors.
Reliable CO2 measurement
For increasing the user’s safety, this device detects carbon dioxide by means of the selective infrared measuring technology (NDIR). The IR sensors provide long-term stable detection values. Unlike electrochemical sensors, the IR measuring technology is not subject to cross sensitivity from toxic hydrogen sulphide. Furthermore, the expected sensor life of a GfG infrared sensor corresponds to the expected service life of the gas detector. Thus in the medium-term, there is no need to replace used-up or contaminated electrochemical sensors.
The Microtector II G460 is the smallest detector world-wide which can be equipped with both an infrared sensor and a PID.
Reliable monitoring for toxic volatile organic compounds (VOC)
Comprehensive protection is additionally provided by a PID (photoionization detector) detecting volatile organic compounds. Familiar substances containing VOCs include solvents, paint thinner and nail polish remover as well as the gases and vapours associated with fuels such as gasoline, diesel, heating oil or kerosene. Specific toxic substances such as benzene, butadiene, hexane, toluene, xylene and many others are reliably detected. For most VOCs, however, the occupational exposure limit value is achieved long before readings reach a concentration high enough to trigger a combustible range alarm. The PID provides additional protection here.
Designed for daily use
Microtector II G460 has a robust casing. Due to the high-class rubber coating, the device is extremely shockproof and water resistant (IP67). Depending on the installed sensor equipment, the operating time is up to 30 hours such that its usage for the entire working days can be assured. For power supply, either batteries or rechargeable batteries can be used. The gas detector Microtector II G460 is particularly small and the lightest device in its class. Due to this, users consider wearing the device as particularly convenient and non-disturbing.
Awarded functionality
The innovative design and exceptional functionality of this device were honoured with one of the internationally most coveted prized for product design, the red dot design award and the GIT SICHERHEIT AWARD.
Optical and acoustical alarm
An innovative alarm system has been developed to reliably warn of possible gas hazards. In case of gas hazard, the display changes its colour – depending on the hazard level – like a traffic light to green, orange or red. In addition, a circumferential LED strip flashes with the respective colour. A high performance audible alarm is also in noisy environments louder than any other ambient noise. The big coloured graphic display is reversible by 180° such that an easy reading is assured even when wearing the device on the body. The integrated zoom function can be used to enlarge the display at a push of a button. This ensures an easy reading of the measurement values even in difficult situations and both hands are kept free.
Rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries
Rechargeable NiMH or alkaline batteries which can be exchanged quickly and easily are available for providing the power supply. Their operating time is up to 30 hours. In combination with the NiMH battery pack equipped with EX-protected LED lights, the device can additionally be used as a bright flash light. With the help of the charging tray, the battery packs can be charged comfortably. However, charging is also possible using the docking station, test station or the vehicle charging cable for 12 V and 24 V.
Electrical pump for release measurement
Apart from operation in normal diffusion mode, the gas detector can optionally be equipped with the electrical pump G400-MP2. The pump has an own power supply, flow monitoring and communicates with the gas detector.
Maintenance: cost-saving, fast and easy
Whether it’s a simple functional test or a complete documentation, tried and tested solutions are at your disposal. The mobile test station TS400 and automatic test and calibrating station DS400 are the ideal supplements to save money, time and efforts. Fast reacting GfG high performance sensors and a sophisticated pump system enable the lowest gas consumption.
